May 2008 - St. Thomas
A few of us were asked to halp create an evening of pirate Mayhem for a super
private event created by Motorolla.
We created a great 3 person show and rocks the islands.
August, 2007 and January 2008 - Pirates and Princess is back at Disney
Disney loved what we did this past January for their Pirates and Princess event that
they have invited us back for a second round. We are expanding by adding 2 new members
for the event and putting 4 original shows out in the park!
June 16th - 2007 - The News Paper Interview
Word is getting around that Mayhem is the place to go for fun and original works, action actors and professional shows with a physical twist.
Wes Smith of the Orlando Sentinel news paper called a few days ago and we did a huge interview about Mayhem and all that it has going on. We were very flattered and honored to be interviewed!
They contacted several of our members and talked to some new ones out here on the West Coast about their joining Mayhem and goals in the acting and stunt world. As soon as the FRONT PAGE article is out I'll be sure to post it ... so keep an eye out!
March 24th - 2007 - Pirate's of the Caribbean Event
Mayhem was asked to create a three minute, full on, no holding back stunt show for an event to be held by Walt Disney to coincide with the premier of the Pirate's 3 movie. We had only a few hours to get the crew together, add some new people, and create an amazing, original show!
We came through with flying colors -- or shall I say blades! An 8 person complete swordfighting feast was created. The one thing we specialize in is Show Development -- so Disney not only got some fun and wonderful fights, but a story with a beginning middle and spectacular ending!
March 3rd and 4th - 2007
Encore Event Productions contact Mayhem and asked if we could write and create a show for a special show for a charity event hosted by Life Stream, INC.
And, of course, I said yes! This was a great project to get behind. We rounded up several of Mayhem's crew and then cast a whole other crew of Strolling Characters, Improv actors and Jugglers!
I, being Mike Mayhall, wrote the show that took place after a silent auction. Mike Diprizo directed and Encore Produced. The event and evening went wonderfully.
January 2007 – March 2007 - Walt Disney World in Orlando
Mayhem Productions has taken over Walt Disney World! We have been contracted to provide Action Actors, Stunt Swordsmen and Show Direction for the new special event called 'Pirates & Princess' at the Magic Kingdom. Mike Mayhall will be the fight choreographer and show director for the Pirates’ Float (a non-stop high action stunt show) that will be rolling down Main Street USA at Walt Disney. This is something that has never been done before at Disney World .
We are also putting strolling swordsmen out on the streets of the Magic Kingdom ... another first ... and we have also been contracted to provide choreography for a new children's show called 'Princess Jasmine's Royal Guard Recruitment'. Like I said we are taking over!! You should see our guys in action!
Everything has been extremely well received and we are excited to be part of this event's maiden voyage!
You can bet the whole crew will be there led by everyone’s favorite pirates -- James Driskul and William Bonnet; other wise know as Skull & Bones.
November and December 2006 – Walt Disney World in Orlando
Mayhem and Mike was asked to give the expert opinion and to do some consulting work for a brand new show and special event that will be happening at Walt Disney World next year.
They wanted to find out what spots in their Magic Kingdom would be the best place for swordfighting pirates and if we could provide them. They also want to build a Pirate boat float and to make sure it is performer safe and that can hold up to 4 swordfighting pirates. All of whom will be rope swinging, jumping, crashing and fighting over it. Everything looks great so far!
October 24th -28th 2006 -- Opryland Hotel in Nashville
Mayhem sailed into the Opryland Hotel for yet another Phantom of the Opryland event. It was a two day event designed to highlight all that the Opryland has to offer. They flew in meeting planers from all over this great land and gave them a grand tour. The fact that the Opryland thought highly enough of Mayhem Productions to let us take part and to help court these million-dollar clients … flatters me.
And to be honest ... we rocked!
October 4th -6th 2006 -- Seaworld Orlando
My old buddies at Seaworld – the ones we did the 'Arg, A Pirate Show' for - asked me do some guest directing for their Halloween Event called 'Spooktackular'. How could I say no? The Sketch Comedy plays were tons of fun to direct and I got to work with some wonderful people.
September 20th -26th 2006 -- the Friday Night Live Cabaret in Branson, MO
I -- and I being Mike Mayhall -- went to Branson, MO to help my good friends at the Vagabond Stage Company and Friday Night Live Cabaret to help promo their new stage combat and action actor classes. We put together a fight and performed at the Cabaret.
I think we impressed them, judging by the standing O ...!
August 31st - September 5th 2006 -- Ohio Renaissance Fair
Skull and Bones set port in a little town just south of Xenia, Ohio for the Ohio Renaissance Festival. For three days we Fought and Fought and Fought again to settle the age old question, why do you always loose one sock in the drier and of course -- who is the greatest swordsman in the world?
We had a wonderful time and made some good friends. The crowds loved us and we showed our apprehension by not stabbing anyone!
May 24th, 2006 -- Disneyland
Mayhem crashed into the Walt Disney doors and promo' d two of our shows for all the big casting directors, show developers and various big wigs in the area.
And, if I must say we kick swashbuckling backside ... and we are now in talks about shows, consulting and other ways to swing swords with the mouse.
April 2006 -- Mayhem goes Bicoastal
It took a while but Mayhem is now setting up shop on the west coast. Today the west coast; tomorrow the World!
July-September 2005 -- Gaylord Palms Orlando
We’ve been asked back to the Gaylord and this time they want an even bigger show than before! We opened our show, with great anticipation, to a house that was standing room only. I have to say the show rocked. And James Driskul, once again, proved that no one can best him when it comes to swordplay!
Come on out to Orlando and check us out!
